Our School

AL-Kawthar International Schools (KIS) is the first private French International Baccalaureate (IB) school in Saudi Arabia. It was established in 2012. We offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) that includes the Petite Section (ages 3 – 5) to PP6 (ages 6 – 11). Teaching of all subjects is in the French language under the umbrella of the IB transdisciplinary themes. KIS is now looking forward to obtaining authorization for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in September 2019 and for  IB Diploma Programme (DP) in the coming years at the Secondary level.

In 2018, KIS became a registered Cambridge Assessment International Education (CIE) school for Grade 1 to Grade 8. The school will continue  into grade 9 at the higher secondary level in September 2019.  Teaching of all subjects is done in English.  The Cambridge Pathway leads to the four stages of English education from Cambridge Primary to Cambridge Upper Secondary

Both sections maintain classes for boys and girls. Each has distinctive characteristics yet share the unified commitment to the school’s vision, mission and values that are woven into the programs for each of its sections – the IB PYP and the Cambridge Primary and the Lower Secondary School levels. We offer enriching curricula that promote students of both schools to become speakers of three languages: French, English and Arabic.

Our international schools are licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia.
